A Bible Study by the only people truly qualified to study the bible — those who don't believe.

I argue that it is valid. How else are we to understand the people who least understand us, who refuse to understand us? How can we promote reason when we don't understand the people who promote religion? We must know how they think, not to defeat religion but to counter the far greater threat of biblical literalism. The Young Earth Creationism danger is real. The destruction of science is real. Viewing the Bible through both a literal and judgemental lens is a great way to view its absurdities.
